Marvel/Netflix news straight from their Television Critics Association panel today, the debut season of Jessica Jones has (as if there were any doubts) called for a second to be ordered by Netflix. No official date has been given on when we can expect Kristen Ritter to return as our favorite super-powered alcoholic, but alas, this confirmation states that she will be returning to us all the same at some point in the future.
Also coming from the TCA event, by way of the fine folks over at TVLine, word has it that Frank Castle aka the Punisher may very well be getting his on spin-off, after his debut in the upcoming season of Marvel’s Daredevil.
Presumably, whether or not the series gets green-lit will rely heavily on fan and critic responses to Jon Bernthal (The Walking Dead, Wolf of Wall Street), who will play the role of Frank Castle in Daredevil. Considering the extremely positive early responses from fans for his being cast, as well as the strength of his previous performances, odds are looking pretty good that we will be seeing much more of Bernthal rocking the iconic white skull in the future.
