Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC) is developing the “Scoff-ee Cup” for a trial run in the United Kingdom. It is an edible coffee cup made out of a white chocolate lined biscuit and wrapped with a sugar paper.
Edible cups are not new. We eat ice cream in edible cones, so why not drink coffee out of edible cups. Alfred Coffee & Kitchen coffee shops in Los Angeles sell a chocolate-dipped coffee cup called the Alfred Cone and Dominique Ansel , creator of the Cronut™ sells edible milk and cookie cups in his New York City establishment.
According to their press release, KFC says that the Scoff-ee Cup will “smell like coconut sun cream, freshly cut grass, and wild flowers” to keep your senses in tune with a summer mood. ….but will there be refills?
