The Hispanic Producer Joseph Quesada

Joseph “Joe” Quesada is one of the most powerful Hispanics of our time. He holds the position of Chief Creative Officer of Marvel Entertainment. He started his career as a comic book writer, editor, and artist. He has become a respected executive producer.

Joe Quesada was born on December 1, 1962 in New York City. His parents are Cuban and he was raised in Queens, New York. He attended the School of Visual Arts, where he earned a BFA in illustration in 1984.

He then created along with his friend an inking company name, “Event Comics.” In his company he created super heroes. One of his most well known pieces was Ash a firefighter with superpowers.

While still working in his own company, Quesada committed to DC comics. His company in due course contracted to do several books for marvel comics.

As stated in IMDB, some of the work Joe Quesada wrote and produced were: Iron Man (2008), Shield; Slingshot (2016), Logan (2017).

Joe Quesada became the first Hispanic to become the Chief Creative Officer at Marvel Entertainment. He has won awards for Best Penciller (Batman: Sword of Azrael), Best Cover Artist (Daredevil, Painkiller Jane).
