Why Are People So Passive-Aggressive?

Every human on this planet is complicated. The way to explain why humans that work for DC Comics continue to show horrible films in the theaters is complicated. We are a tangled web of amazing biology and bad behavior. We range from the kind to the aggressors and even the passive-aggressive ones. Why most of us are passive-aggressive? Why when someone steps on our brand new sneakers, we let it slide?

In the clip below, Vanessa Hill from BrainCraft explores passive-aggressive behavior, the act of expressing aggression indirectly.

Passive Aggressive is of or denoting a type of behavior or personality characterized by indirect resistance to the demands of others and an avoidance of direct confrontation, as in procrastinating, pouting, or misplacing important materials. One of the signs of a person being passive aggressive is the silent treatment. In its standard form, the silent treatment consists of completely ignoring another person, refusing to answer any questions from the person, and perhaps even refusing to acknowledge their presence.
