89 Year Old Dick Van Dyke Stars in New Music Video Release

When 89 year old Hollywood legend Dick Van Dyke and his wife Arlene, 46 years his junior, heard a song called  “Never Had To Go” by a musical group called The Dustbowl Revival, they offered their services and home to the band so that they could film the music video for their new release.  The Dustbowl Revival, a bluegrass/swing band hailing from California, could not resist the offer made to them by The Van Dykes.

The married couple are the central story of the new video.  A Tony, Grammy, and 5 Time Emmy Winner,  Mr. Van Dyke proves his age won’t slow him down. The 1995 Television Hall of Fame inductee and 2013 Screen Actor’s Guild Lifetime Award Winner dances and goofs around to the foot stomping, fun song while trying to get his young wife to dance along with him. The star of his own classic television show, The Dick Van Dyke Show, he had another successful series decades later with Diagnosis: Murder, co-starring his real life son Barry Van Dyke. (Diagnosis: Murder was a spin-off of William Conrad’s  Jake and The Fatman and the spin-off ran for 8 seasons; it lasted 3 seasons more than Jake and The Fatman with a couple of made for television movie specials produced after Diagnosis: Murder was cancelled) Between these successful television programs, the legendary performer starred in several films including comedies and musicals like Bye Bye BirdieChitty Chitty Bang Bang, and Mary Poppins. He proves he can still perform and that you can have a rich, long, and full life if you stay healthy, active, and young in heart.
