Alex Sensation

Javier Alexander Salazar recognised as Alex Sensation is one of the most famous DJ’s worldwide. His biggest hit now has been a song produced by him and the reggaeton artist Ozuna, “Que Va” (No Way) which was released last year in 2017.

Javier Alexander Salazar was born in Bogota, Colombia and migrated to the United States at the age of 6. He knew at a very early age that music was his passion. His father played the guitar and his older brother was a DJ at local nightclubs, so music was never far from Javier.

While he was a teenager he would accompany his older brother to local clubs and enjoyed what his brother was doing and decided to give himself an opportunity as a DJ. At the age of 17—underage he was able to make it up to the DJ booth and perform his job at smaller clubs. Then he was given a chance to work at the known club “Copa Cabana” which a radio commercial would often mention years ago, “The Hottest Club in all of Manhattan.” Meanwhile working there, a program director from a Hispanic radio station in New York City communicated with him and offered him a weekend DJ position.

Six months later, he was offered a job position at La Mega 97.9 FM Spanish radio station in New York City where he currently works and his shows are also transmitted in El Zol 106.7 FM Spanish radio station in Miami, Florida. His known shows are “La Mega Mezcla” (The Mega Mixture) and “La Original Mega Mezcla” (The Original Mega Mixture).

After years of being a DJ, he decided to also become an artist. He thanks his long-time friend artist Armando Perez known better as Pitbull for pushing him to becoming an artist. Pitbull had advice him to produce his own music like other English DJ’s do. In the start of 2016, Alex Sensation signed an agreement with Universal Music Latin Entertainment and Indie Entertainment Group.

The first song that Alex Sensation produced before getting signed to a record label was “Bailame” (Dance to Me) in 2015 along with artists Yandel and Shaggy. Then he did, “La Mala y La Buena” (The Bad One and The Good One) in 2016 with the Cuban duo, “Gente De Zona.” Last year in 2017, he produced “Que Va” (No Way) along with artist Ozuna, which has had over 230,000,000 views on Youtube and Vevo and thousands of Likes from viewers.
