Strings of the South: An Evening of Americana
You say this economy has you down and out, stuck loitering in front of your TV, wishing you could get out? Never fear! If you have $10 or even just $5, here’s a night out you won’t soon forget.
On Friday September 9th, Built on Strength productions presents both a block party and an evening of the finest Americana music Central Florida has to offer. Presently folk and Americana are experiencing a resurgence in popularity and some of the best, and most unique acts are currently coming out of Florida.
With 9 bands on three stages you’re sure to get your moneys worth. Outside in the Gazebo, the all ages show starts at 8:00 pm. Damion Suomi, Roadkill Ghost Choir, The Lonesome City Travelers, and Goodrich & The Die Tryin’s will get the evening started 8:00 pm. $5 will get you admittance to the Gazebo.
Upstairs at the Hippodrome, a mere $5 gets you in to see critically acclaimed artist Ben Prestage, who’ll perform 2 sets of his unique one man band show, which needs to be seen to be believed. DC Wilson performs as the opening act. If you want to see both shows, $10 covers it all.
