On Tuesday February 21, 2018, Black Panther broke more box office records with $263 million.
As mentioned by Forbes media and Entertainment, “That is the ninth-biggest Tuesday gross of all time and the seventh –biggest Tuesday gross not counting The Amazing Spider-Man ($35m) and Transformers ($36.6m) which opened on a Tuesday. That’s a drop of just 48% from its record-breaking $40m Monday, and a record for a pre-summer Tuesday.” Forbes also added that hopefully Black Panther will top $400 million.
The New York Post also confirmed the over $200 million that Black Panther has taken in since it came out in the movie theaters here in the United States…….”59 percent more than ‘Deadpool’ and, as Disney announced Tuesday, enough for its Marvel flick to rank as the second-biggest four-day opener of all time.”
Thus far, Black Panther continues to make box office history. Perhaps is the political, cultural, fantasy phenomenon that it demonstrates to viewers who go on to tell those who have not watched the movie to go and see the movie.
