First Impression: Urban Warrior
Strapped with hooded capes and layered over rebellious cuts and long sporty jackets, NYC based designer Nicholas K kicks fashion week wide open announcing, “I’m home!” These designs certainly display the New York attitude, yet we all know under every hard shell is a warmth waiting to be discovered. Nicholas K whispers such warmth in earth toned chiffon, feminine nude, velour, incomplete without sexy strapped wedges. This collection is certainly bound to cause riots beyond the city streets of the Big Apple!
First Impression: Eclectic Bohemian
In Fall BCBGMaxazria paints a masterpiece blending luxurious fur vests, printed leather jackets layered over delicate tunics flowing with feminine grace down the catwalk. This affordable collection will bring out the Picasso in you even if you’ve never had any luck with a paintbrush in your hand!
First Impression: Prim and Proper
Reminiscent of catholic school uniform colors, Timo Weiland is exclusively tailored for the sophisticated woman, young and old. The random pops of red give these designs a playful edge but don’t get it twisted. This is not child’s play.
Victorian Romance
Ahh… It is impossible not to fall head over heels with the romantic designs of Tadashi Shoji. The passionate red and passive pink adorns some of the collection’s beautiful lace designs and tiered gowns. One personal favorite is one reminiscent of the 1920s flapper embracing its long shimmery torso ending at a furry bottom. Truly a classic beauty. Here’s a peek of the hopelessly romantic designs.
First impression: A Little Bit of This, A Little Bit of That
Sergio Davila has a little something for everyone from the bohemian to the trendsetting hipster. This designer enjoys a great fit revealing tailored suits, beautifully embellished blazers, edgy leather pea coats, dainty florals, and the season’s favorite fiery metallic colors that adorn the line’s wide legged slacks. Here is a favorite from the Fall 2013 line.
First Impression: Bold and Fearless
I’m sure you’ve heard the saying, “Be a leader, not a follower”. Concept Korea definitely draws the line with graphic designs and bold geometric shapes accompanied with a mix of bright turquoise, gold, hot pink, and a feminine touch of fur fun vests. This label is certainly not for the safe at heart but claims a contagious confidence that is impossible to overlook.
