The inspirational track challenges the steady stream of messages of war and strife thrown at us daily, while staying true to the band’s eclectic fusion of rock and spoken soul. Their lyrics, powered by high energy and a funky bass line, call for a “movement of people” to “pick up the peace, put down the sword.”
A stark departure from their bluesy-predecessor “I Saw You,” it also demonstrates (i am) isis’ acute ability to tread the line between driving rock ballads and funk-laced blues.
