Premios Juventud 2017 initiated like never before. An artist performing on the red carpet. While the queen of Nuestra Belleza Latina, Clarissa Molina danced. Half hour later, Karol G performed her newest hit “A Ella” (To Her). Before the actual show started, the young band CNCO performed. Their new song “Hey DJ.”
Colombian artist Maluma opened the show. Performing his newest hit “Felices los 4” (The 4 of Us Happy). Marc Anthony then popped on stage. Along with Maluma surprising many.
The famous Mexican Duo Jesse y Joy performed immediately. Right after J Balvin’s speech. J Balvin said he was thankful for his award “Best Video Award.” After Jessy y Joy performed for a little bit they introduced Arcangel, Bad Bunny, De La Guetto, Wisin, and Ozuna. All performed the song “Escapate Conmigo.”
A Mexican band, Calibre 50 performed their newest hit. In which it has been a number 1 hit in five countries. And because of that hit, they won “Best Song for La Troca.” The band DNCE performed their new song “Kissing Strangers.” The Duo Gente de Zona and artist Wisin sang. Along with Chino Miranda, who debuted his new song as a solo artist.
J Balvin performed his new song. The new song “Mi Gente” (My People). While J Balvin was performing “Mi Gente” Gianluca was dancing. Gianluca was dancing on stage with him.
Enrique Iglesias was awarded “Youth Idol Award.” He was viewed on a big screen elsewhere performing his newest hit “Subeme La Radio” (Turn up The Radio).
One of the most awaited artists to be seen by many was Ozuna. The half puerto Rican and Dominican artist performed. Ozuna sang “Dile Que Tu Me Quiere” (Tell That You Want Me). The artist that won the award “Best Fashionista Award” was artist Maluma. The Mexican band Reik won for “Best Song for Loving Award.”
While artist were being awarded there was always time for performances. Ozuna, J Balvin, Arcangel performed together. Maluma sang again by himself. Then with a band. Nacho performed his new song “Bailame” (Dance to Me). He was actually surprised with an award name, “Certified Platinum Award” before the actual show began on the red carpet.
Artists, Farruko and Jacob Forever performed together. Another Mexican band besides Calibre 50 performed too. Iggy Azalea was another artist that performed. Shakira along with the band Cold Play performed. And a few more.
Not only did Maluma won one award. Maluma won for “Best Instagram Award.” The Puerto Rican artist that won “Best Song To Sing Award” was Luis Fonsi. He was not present at Premios Juventud. Fonsi won because of his worldwide song hit “Despacito” (Slowly).
Another Puerto Rican artist won an award. It was Daddy Yankee. He won “Best Song for Dancing Award.” Ozuna who is half Puerto Rican and Dominican won “Breakthrough Artist Award.” The young band CNCO won “Slow Reggeaton Award.”
Apart from artists winning awards, about 5 young people were awarded. With the “Change Agent Award” because of their engagement in their community. Additionally, outstanding outcome of what they’ve accomplished.
The night turned out to be memorable. Especially for those who won. Also, for those who made it possible.
Hosts like Borja Voces from Primer Impacto, Francisca La Chapel from Despierta America hosted the award show. Moreover, Diana GiaComo from El Gordo y La Flaca. Further, actor Danilo Carrera, artist Leslie Grace, model and host Alejandra Espinoza. Last but not least, the youngest host Sebastian Villalobos. All hosted Premios Juventud 2017. Breaking records. For the first time in Univision.
