Russo Brothers respond to Deadpool’s Spoiler Jab

Avengers: Infinity War directors Joe and Anthony Russo have responded to Deadpool’s recent spoiler-related demand, which poked fun at the MCU movie.

This past Wednesday, Deadpool star Ryan Reynolds posted a letter on social media from Wade Wilson asking fans not to spoil Deadpool 2. The letter poked fun at a statement from the Russo brothers in April regarding Infinity War spoilers.

The Russo brothers responded on Twitter:

Yes … The Russo Brothers went there. It seems the Infinity War Directors are not afraid of Deadpool. Reynolds replied to the Russo brothers’ response, saying, “I deserve that.”

If Disney’s deal to acquire 21st Century Fox goes through—and Comcast doesn’t buy Fox instead—Deadpool may eventually join the MCU. While Disney sees an opportunity for an R-rated Marvel brand at the company, Reynolds said he’s unsure if Deadpool 3 will happen.

Deadpool 2 opens in theaters on May 15 in the UK, May 16 in Australia, and May 18 in the US. According to Reynolds, Fox made him remove a joke about Disney from the film. Hopefully I can find the joke on the Internet.

Avengers: Infinity War has proven to be a massive hit for Disney and Marvel Studios. The film reached the $1 billion sales mark in record time and has shattered box office presale records in China.

Do you think Deadpool 2 will reach the same heights as Avengers: Infinity War? Do you think Josh Brolin will be great as Cable? Please let me know on Twitter @BlueJayHJB
