A new snippet of footage from the upcoming DC Comics and Warner Bros. sequel to Man of Steel has been released, and can be watched in the player below.
Batman, captured and unmasked!? What madness is this? The footage leaves us with more questions than ever before, as Ben Affleck’s Batman is seen in chains before Henry Cavill aka a particularly pissed-off looking Superman.
“Fearing the actions of a god-like super hero left unchecked, Gotham City’s own formidable, forceful vigilante takes on Metropolis’s most revered, modern-day savior, while the world wrestles with what sort of hero it really needs.”
Along with Affleck and Cavill, Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice will see Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor. Also starring in the film will be Gal Gadot as Diana Prince/Wonder Woman, and returning from Man of Steel as Lois Lane, Perry White and Martha Kent will be Amy Adams, Laurence Fishburne and Diane Lane respectively. Jeremy Irons also joins the cast as Alfred Pennyworth, fan-favorite butler and confidant to Bruce Wayne and Holly Hunter in an original role created especially for the film. Jason Momoa will also be appearing as Aquaman.
The film’s new full trailer is set to debut this Wednesday during Jimmy Kimmel Live. Until that drops, stay plugged in to SE for more Comic Nook News as it develops
