Last night saw Warner Bros. Pictures release a few nuggets of detail on social media. With the airing of their television special DC Films Presents: Dawn of the Justice League, concept art for the upcoming two-part Justice League film, along with the new logo for the upcoming Wonder Woman movie was unveiled online, by way of Twitter, Instagram and Facebook. The Justice League image can be viewed below.
Long awaited — and even moreso delayed — Wonder Woman’s live-action film is being directed by Patty Jenkins, and will star Gal Gadot as our titular heroine, Chris Pine (Star Trek) as Steve Trevor, Robin Wright (Netflix’s House of Cards), David Thewlis (The Theory of Everything), Danny Huston (Clash of the Titans), Ewen Bremner (Snowpiercer, Exodus: Gods and Kings), Saïd Taghmaoui (American Hustle), Elena Anaya (The Skin I Live In) Connie Nielsen (Gladiator, Nymphomaniac: Vol. I) and Lucy Davis (Shaun of the Dead).
Principal photography on the film began in late November, 2015 and will take place on location in the UK, France and Italy.
An anticipated entry in the ambitious DC Cinematic Universe, Wonder Woman is set for theater release on June 23, 2017.
