SEV’s Comic Nook News: Justice League Adds Willem Dafoe to Cast in Mystery Role

The word from Hollywood Reporter is actor Willem Dafoe has been added to the cast list of Warner Bros’ upcoming DC Cinematic Universe film, Justice League. Currently, it’s unknown what character Dafoe will be playing, though the HR states that he will a “good guy”, unlike his previous role of Norman Osborne in Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man trilogy.

Dafoe’s other noted roles include:   American Psycho, Boondock Saints, and John Wick (to name a few), and was previously nominated for two Oscars for his supporting roles in Shadow of the Vampire and Platoon.

Justice League will mark the return of Zack Snyder in the director chair for the film, with Argo‘s Chris Terrio on script duties. Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill and Gal Gadot star as the DC Trinity, Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman in the film. Jason Mamoa as Aquaman, Ray Fisher as Cyborg, and Ezra Miller as The Flash. Amber Heard is set to play Queen Mera in the film as well before moving to the solo Aquaman film in 2018. J.K. Simmons will also appear as Commissioner Gordon. Filming for Justice League has commenced on location in London, with shooting also scheduled to take place in Iceland.

Justice League will slated to hit in theaters November 10, 2017.
