DC Entertainment and Warner Bros. Television has made it officially that the Maid of Might will be returning for a second season. However, the sophomore season will be airing on the CW, departing from its neighboring network at CBS.
Supergirl will be joining the troupe of other DC related series, Arrow, The Flash and Legends of Tomorrow.
Supergirl stars Melissa Benoist as the title character, as well as her mild mannered human identity, Kara Danvers. Also starring; Mehcad Brooks as James Olsen, Laura Benanti as Alura Zor-El, Calista Flockhart as Cat Grant, Chyler Leigh as Alexandra “Alex” Danvers, Jeremy Jordan as Winslow “Winn” Schott, Jenna Dewan Tatum as Lucy Lane (sister of Lois), David Harewood as Hank Henshaw, Peter Facinelli as Maxwell Lord, with Dean Cain and Helen Slater as Kara’s adoptive parents, Jeremiah and Eliza Danvers.
Earlier this year, The Flash has a run-in with Supergirl the crossover episode “World’s Finest” on CBS, wherein we learned that the world of Supergirl takes place on parallel earth to the ‘Flaro of Tomorrow’ universe. Seeing how this is altered to better fit the CW’s breadth and scope for their DC properties will be an interesting (if at times confusing) feat.
Supergirl previously aired Mondays on its former home at CBS. Her season 2 timeslot has not yet been revealed, but stay plugged in to SEV for more Comic Nook News as it develops.
