One of my boyfriends physique heroes from “back in the day” was Frank Zane… mainly because his physique was not overly muscular like the majority of today’s steroid abusing bodybuilders.Just compare Ronnie Colman’s picture below on the left with Frank Zane’s on the right.I think you’d agree that Frank wins hands down for the more aesthetic looking physique. |
But Arnold’s most impressive attribute was his unusually
narrow waistline.
His secret?
The Ab Vacuum pictured below.
The reason this exercise is so effective for making your waistline
slimmer is because it works the often ignored “inner ab” muscles,
knows as the transverse abdominis.
These muscles are solely responsible for supporting your abdominal
wall, which is responsible for making your belly look flatter.
You can perform the ab vacuum while lying on your back, kneeling
on all fours, or even standing.
Here’s how to do it correctly:
1: Slowly inhale as much air as possible until your lungs are full.
2: Slowly start to blow out all the air out of your lungs until there is
none left.
3: Suck your stomach in as much as possible and hold this position
for a count of 10 to 15 seconds. Try to visualize your belly button
touching your spine.
4: Relax and breathe a few times before repeating 5-8x.
If done consistently, the ab vacuum will help your waist look slimmer
over time… guys like Frank Zane, Arnold Schwarzenegger and Jamie Eason are
living proof.
And if it’s too tight, undertrained or locked up it can contribute to:
+Nagging Joint Pain
+Bad Posture
+Trouble Sleeping
+Sluggishness
+High Anxiety
+Digestive Problems
+Weakened Immune System
+Circulatory Issues
+Loss of Sexual-Performance
+Lack of Explosiveness in the Gym
Ya, a BUNCH of stuff you want to avoid.
Whatever you do, NEVER ignore or underestimate
your body and the ability to achieve greatness.
Keep standing strong.
Your friend and coach,
Crystal
