Typical Thursday nights on the Lower East Side of Manhattan may or may not look like what I witnessed when I saw the live performance of the band Tam Lin. The show took place at The Slipper Room, which was once known primarily for the burlesque performances. Appropriate for the bands elaborate additions to a traditional performance with dancers, and aerialist and more than a few music cameos.
I wasn’t able to stay for the entire evening, but they made more than a first impression, and gave me more than I intended on getting from a Folk-Rock band. The music was very true to the genre, and the performance and overall presentation was appropriate for their latest album titled Medicine For A Ghost.
