The graduation photo that went viral back in April 2018 is still going viral. It is of a woman name Ieshia Champs along with her children in which each held signs on the photo. The signs read: “I did it!”, “I did too!”, “Me too!”, “We did it”, “I helped!”, and “I helped too!”
Ieshia Champs graduated from Thurgood Marshall School of Law at Texas Southern University. Before attending Texas Southern University’s Law School, she got her GED. Then attended Houston Community college in 2010.
Champs dream as a child was to become a lawyer someday when she grew up. She didnt have a great childhood and after having her first son at the age of 19, the odds seemed to continue to be against her.
She admitted to ABC News that there were many times she wanted to quit Law School but she didn’t. Her 5 children motivated her and she always planned her time accordingly. “I managed my time by planning everything! Eating, cooking, combing hair, etc,” explains Ieshia.
Not only her children motivated her but the grace of God kept her advancing. “My faith in God helped me with school because I knew that no matter how hard or how big any obstacle, any test, or anything else was, I knew that my God was bigger than them all. I realized that it was nobody but God that has me where I am and if He brought me there, He would bring me through. I prayed and cried out to God often and he never turned His back on me! I know it’s no one but Him why I’m standing here today,” states Ieshia.
Ieshia continues to keep exuberant faith in God. “Anything is possible with God! I don’t care what your circumstances are now, I’m a living witness that your current circumstances doesn’t define your future!” assures Ieshia. “Step out on faith and don’t let anything stop you from being great! Go beyond the sky!”
Many people have been inspired and delighted by Ieshia’s awe-inspiring accomplishment. Her future plan is to become a successful attorney to advocate for others and become a federal judge.
