Vivian Green Gets Off Her Emotional Rollercoaster [audio]

Heartache and pain are often the main ingredients in our favorite songs. Peppered with anger and frustration, we get classic hits like Vivian Green’s 2002 debut “Emotional Rollercoaster”.

But, timeless music, like a good meal, comes with many flavors — and the soul singer has added a recipe for balance and happiness with her fourth studio release, The Green Room and new single “Anything Out There”.

In a recent interview, Green shared how she got off her own emotional rollercoaster for the sake of her special needs son and is now focusing on the positives in her life. She also encouraged her fans to develop healthy relationships, drop life’s baggage and embrace change.

Ending her relationship with her son’s father

“I could not go on my journey being Jordan’s [her son’s] mother and have all this toxicity in my life. I made the choice. This is it. I was young and dumb and this is over. [My son] is my number one priority.”

Change is good

“People are really afraid of change, when change could really be the most wonderful thing that ever happened to you.”

Drop the baggage

“If you are carrying baggage from a previous relationship, then you should be by yourself. Cleanse yourself of that baggage and then you can be a great candidate to be in a healthy relationship.”
