With the spawn of Youtube in 2005 and the death of TRL in 2008, music videos seem to have become less televised, but viewed more popularly online. Thankfully, the music industry still feels the need for these visual gems to promote not only the ideas behind the music, but also album sales. I am always enlightened when artists find simplistic concepts that make a beautiful impact. One of my favorite video imagery, whether it’s televised or online, is lighting. Lightening is often underestimated, when in reality, it sets the tone for the portrayal of a variety 0f emotion: sexy, romantic, desperate, powerful, and even frightened.
