This year blew us away with movies like Deadpool, Captain America: Civil War, and Doctor Strange. A week ago we saw the jaw-dropping official Wonder Woman trailer and while it was nothing short of remarkable, we can’t forget the others. The movie industry is very Superhero heavy now; I’m as excited as the five-year-old boy whose first movie was Captain America: Civil War.
I’m ecstatic and I know you are too. There are so many movies anticipated to do well, but these five will make you scream in excitement. Here are five trailers for upcoming 2017 films:
1. Logan (March 3rd)
This tearful trailer reminds us that 2017 is the last we’ll see of Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine. Many years after Days of Future Past, many mutants are gone in a post-apocalyptic style. Logan and Xavier are among the only survivors and they must protect a girl, Laura who has powers like Wolverine’s, from the tyranny that follows.
2. Power Rangers (March 24th)
You’re seeing it right, 2017 is blessing us with a new Power Rangers film. Centering on our favorite Might Morphin Rangers, the film reintroduces Jason (Red), Kimberly (Pink), Trini (Yellow), Billy (Blue), and Zack (Black) in a modern retcon. The five teens must use their special powers to save the world from the danger to come.
3. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 (May 5th)
One of our beloved Superhero teams will return to the screen in 2017. Set only two months after the first film, The Guardians of the Galaxy travel the universe to help Starlord discover his true parentage.
4. Wonder Woman (June 2nd)
Although this is not the first time Wonder Woman is in a movie, it looks better than past adaptions. Taking place in the 20th century, Amazonian princess discovers US Military pilot Steve Trevor washed ashore on her home, Themyscira. After learning about the ongoing World War, Diana leaves Themyscirato help end it.
5. Justice League (Nov. 17)
We’ve waited far too long for a Justice League movie; it’s finally happening. Months after the events of Batman v. Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman recruit the help of Flash, Aquaman, and Cyborg to stop Steppenwolf and the Parademons from getting the Motherboxes: energy holding boxes with extraordinary powers.
Those aren’t the only movies coming; Thor Ragnarok, Spider-Man: Homecoming, Kong: Skull Island to name a few. We’ll be anxiously awaiting the release of new movies and more trailers. 2017, we can’t wait!
